Between his masterful remix of Marina’s “I Am Not A Robot” and his brilliant debut single “Animal Animal” (out on Neon Gold in November), Penguin Prison has been stirring things up quite a bit recently and he shows no sign of letting up anytime soon. Hot off the press is this shit-hot Penguin remix of Golden Silvers‘ lavish anthem “True Romance”, on which he transposes the brilliant original onto a pulsating electronic canvas and washes the “ooh ooh ooh ooh” backing vox across the mix with an eerie, haunted house expansiveness. Then that damn-the-torpedoes synth solo drops by to cause some trouble around the 1:45 mark and it’s all pretty much game over from there.
